The Topcon T is essentially a stripped down version of the Topcon RE Super. It is forms a component of the KS-20900 L1 message register camera made to order by Tokyo Kogaku (in 1971) for the U.S. telephone company Bell / AT&T The camera was designed to record telephone usage in the exchanges for billing purposes. The aperture is fixed a f/22, the focus at 0.6m (2 feet). The shutter speed was 1/60th and illumination of the message register occurred via electronic flash.
The camera was mounted with a RE Auto Topcor 25mm and a gelatine polarising filter, originally apparently factory installed at the correct angle, prevented glare from the flash.
